So, I'm guessing most of you have heard about Billy Mays.... If you haven't, have you ever seen those oxy-clean commercials with the guy in the blue shirt and black-beard that yells alot? That's him. I think it's quite controversial on how so many celebrities have died over the past few weeks. And Billy Mays' death came to me as quite a shock. Somehow, just by watching the first(and last) ever season of "Pitch Men", I've really come to know Billy, and hearing of his death; well...I didn't believe it. And I still don't want to; though I know it's going to hit me when ever I look for those new Oxy-clean commercials, and see someone else yelling and screaming about it. It's probably going to be a horrible imitation of Billy. Yeah yeah, I know. Why get all upset about a pitch man? Well, what I ask you is this: Why get all upset about Micheal Jackson? Jackson was a musician(and quite a good one, too), well Mays made a few people who came from nothing into million-ares through advertising a product they came up with, tinkered with, and lost many relationships from. He sounds like you're real-life wish-grant-er. I don't think it'll be too easy to let a pitchman go; just like letting go the THRILLER writer/singer.
This goes to the same situation as the crocodile hunter. I can assure you, that if you ever watch Animal Planet, EVER, you will see repeat episodes of "The Crocodile Hunter" with Steve Irwin. I betcha, though, if you just recently started to watch it, you wouldn't have guessed that he was dead. Steve died in 2006; and I was heart-broken for many weeks. I was younger then; at that strange, wonky point where you can't quite decide who's your role model because your previous one just died. I discovered him around 2000; and he was exactly what I wanted to be. He worked with exotic animals; and to me, that was the absolute coolest.
But that day, when the news spread around that Steve Irwin was dead; my whole family was shaken. My parents couldn't help but shed a few tears with me and my brother; and both of us were devistated. My brother had already caught a few garter snakes in the yard, and was determined to get somthing bigger the next time; and tame it. Just like the Mighty Crocodile Hunter. He had been a role-model to the both of us, and then BOOM. He was dead.
I had sworn to hate Manta Rays, just because of the incident that happened to Steve. But how could I? It wasn't the species. I realized that I was becoming one of the people that would kill off an entire population just for revenge. Like those who kill off wolves just because of what one sick, old wolf did to a few cattle. I had to stop myself and think a little bit.
Why should I hate them, it was simply to happen in the first place. Besides; who, in the right mind could want revenge, when Steve died doing something he loved? Something he would give his world up for? He knew perfectly well that what he was doing the whole time could take his life, at any moment, at any time; and yet, he still did it because he loved it so much, he wanted to raise awareness for all of the specise, show that everything was cute, adorable, and "Down right beautiful in every way.
I miss him terribly. Still. He was probably the one and only person to take the world by it's hand, lead it and captivate it. When he died, almost every soul world-wide was aching. He had fallen, and the world came down with him.
I don't think any other human being can achieve that again. Ever.

I hope, though, that I can do that; especially since I'm younger than alot of you may think; by raising awareness of endangered animals, or ones in need of rescue; and having my young age be use of it, too. I'm already going through probation to get my Falconry license; and my license to own 1-3 bird(s) of prey. And I'm also registering for a license for owning exotic mammals, like Cereals and Fox. That is possible where I live, and I hope to achieve it.

Too many important people have died lately, and in the past. I can't seem to get an approving gaze upon society today. Everyone just dies...

Anyway, I hope you can just get to where I'm at. This world has too many bad people in it. Where'd all the good guys go?
